What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness and mindfulness in nature are tools that help us be more discerning about that which we incline our minds to. Nature helps us to anchor our thinking to direct experience.

This increases our happiness.

Mindfulness therapy is about training our minds to rest and recover in our present moment experiences through our sense doors, tools that are innate and always available to us no matter what life is presenting us with.

 
 
 

In Nature we come to know ourselves in relation to the living planet. Here we can rest in the knowledge that we are never separate or alone. This knowing of the connection between ourselves and the planet is a great resource when we are faced with adversity of any kind.

Nature evokes empathy and compassion in our hearts as we open to our sensual experience of it. Empathy and compassion are bountiful heart states that allow us to understand the fluidity of experience and to begin to grasp the impermanent nature of it. In this way we are able to meet our lives with acceptance, no matter how difficult things might be in the moment.
